Toni Mijač, born in 1988 in Split, Croatia, is a film and multimedia artist. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Film and Video from the Art Academy in Split and subsequently obtained a master’s degree in New Media Art from the Fine Arts Academy in Zagreb. Throughout his career, Mijač has contributed to numerous conceptual, cinematographic, and commercial projects. His experience extends to collaborations in local and international residencies, workshops, and festivals across Croatia, Austria, Slovenia, Germany, Lithuania, Romania, Portugal, and the United Kingdom.

Mijač is the author of nine solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions. In his artistic work, he predominantly explores everyday impulses in various aspects of human life, routines, and tendencies. He employs the language and expressive tools of multiple media forms, including film, video, text, installation, performance, photography, and social/community practices.

His works have received significant recognition. "Connection Is/Not Possible" garnered the public’s vote at the HT Contemporary Art Award 2018 in Zagreb and the jury’s second award for best artwork at the GRISIAyouth 2018 exhibition in Rovinj. Another notable work, "Slon Eye," received the jury’s first award for best artwork at the GRISIAyouth 2021 exhibition in Rovinj.

In 2020, Mijač was selected as one of the artists in residency for the MagiC Carpets / LAB 852 / Meta Cultural Foundation program. In 2022, he participated in the 'Summer Sessions,' a residency program led by the art organization Metamedij in collaboration with Schmiede in Hallein.
